PETA are known for their hype.
I know that About-Face are boycotting PETA due to the way they use women in their advertising. (apparently its wrong to treat animals like pieces of meat but fine when it comes to women!)
Having said that, the vid was appalling. No animal should be treated like that. I will def stop buying Iams. Although I will not be buying vegetarian pet food for my cat, as PETA have suggested!
Thank you for raising awareness!

Hi D...unfortunately, Iams/Eukanuba has been doing this for many years. PETA is only one organization that brought this to light.
Please keep in mind that some animal activist organizations can be fanatics and PETA is by far the worst offender of these...they have been labeled "animal terrorists" and it makes one question why. I have discovered through research that PETA is the biggest hypocrites of animal welfare as they practice opposite of what they preach. They believe all domestic pets should be banned and sadly they euthanize (kill) more pet animals than any shelter collectively worldwide. Anyhow, here's an informative website about them called Peta Kills: http://www.petakillsanimals.com/

I watched the video and it did not seem to correlate properly to what PETA replaced into declaring about iAMS. It did seem extra like a set of very ill canines and not in any respect in any context that i might want to perceive. you would possibly want to no longer overlook that PETA has an agenda and has been stuck in hoaxes before. This video might want to were of something that replaced into happening many years in the past. It certainly did not seem as if the power replaced into any the position close to cutting-part. Any part of this undesirable a nature might want to be getting extra well-known play than only a PETA website. this isn't to say that animal cruelty might want to no longer be vigorously adversarial. you would possibly want to take care, notwithstanding, to validate all claims made by technique of all of us, pretty those with an ideological ax to grind.

Because animal cruelty and dog food are two different things. First, PETA is not the only organization who has uncovered IAMS cruelty. It has been going on for many years.
Did you also know that many pet foods are actually rendered dead animals? A collection of large road kill, euthanized animals from shelters and veterinarians, etc. There is a book called, Foods Pet Die For. It also lists Iams and it's 'sins' against animals. There are no laws for pet food ingredients, only guidelines that do not have to be followed.
So what is in your pet's food? Cancer anyone.

you do realize how fanatical PETA truly is don't you? they want 100% freedom for all animals-that means no more pets of ANY kind for ANYONE. Total vegetarian --no meat for anyone. PETA advocates and finances violence to acheive their goals. Maybe you better think on that--You are promoting an organization whose members have in the past resorted to terrorist type violence--OVER ANIMALS?
I am truly sorry but I think stopping violence against HUMANS is a bit more important.

At first I thought, well of course they test on dogs that's who it's made for. At some point you have to test a product on the intended consumers. However, after looking at the site, I think they could do much more to improve conditions for these dogs.

Do not beklieve the PETA info. They do this alot. All pet food makers "test" on animals. That is how they find out if the food meets the requirements and tastes good to the animals!!!!
