They will charge you to fix it. It will the same amount as getting a new one. They tell you before you leave to maek sure the information is correct. You can try to argue it with them but I don't think it will do any good.

Call the dmv and get it fixed right away. If you get pulled over by the police at any time and they see the names on your license and insurance don't match up, you could have some problems.

No, it doesn't depend on the state you live in. Go in and get it fixed. Yes, it will cost. Why, you ask? Because it isn't their mistake. I'm relatively sure they asked you to "check and make sure everything is correct, and then sign here" before they ever laminated it.

My husband discovered they misspelled his first name on his license when he started getting mail addressed to "Alfres" instead of "Alfred!" He went to DMV and they acknowledged the error and issued a new license without charge. We're in Virginia.
It's been 13 years and "Alfres" still gets mail!
I recommend that when you go to DMV, bring your birth certificate, passport, or whatever identification you provided when you applied for your license.

In Illinois, they always ask you to confirm that everything is correct before you sign the paper and they laminate it.
I would imagine it is standard procedure with all states.
Most likely, you will have to pay for the error.

They shouldn't make you pay for their mistake. Call them it shouldn't be a big deal. They made mistakes on mine once and all they did was give me a temp. and mail my original in two weeks. Good luck with that.

They'll probably make you pay for it, since you left the DMV with it and didn't say anything at the time.

I don't believe it matters what state you live in. I'm sure they'll be happy to fix it for you because, yes, it will cost you again.
