I went out with a guy when i was younger, and he was my first love. However, we were still quite young and immature and it didn't work out. I've been out with guys since but i've never felt that way about anyone else. I left my last boyfriend after 5 months because i was unhappy in the relationship, but we are slowly becoming friends again even though he apparently still loves me. Now, my first love has always been one of my best friends but recently we have developed deeper feelings again. I know i love him and always will, and he loves me too. However, we aren't going out although we go out places and kiss sometimes. Me,him,my best friend and her bf all went out and he found it kind of awkward,as they were together and it made me think how much easier it would be if it was me and my recent ex with them again?!I have no idea why i had been thinking this about him?!I don't know what is stopping me dating my first love again, but i can feel a barrier?:S

Sorry, but it sounds like you are chasing a memory, first love, whether they were real feelings or not. You are back in it but your gut tells you that something's just not right. Sounds like you are going through the motions.I too have been down this road and could have written the same thing ( with a few details changed ). I was going where I thought I wanted to be but it wasn't. Love is very confusing. If I have learned one thing in life and love it's to listen to you gut. I have been married 13 yrs but I waited until I was 27 to get married. I was close a few times but it just didn't feel right inside.

Well if you are both single I'd say go for it. Unless the thing stopping you is something you can't get over that will always be that way like he has kids he never sees or got someone pregnant and abandoned them I fell inlove with a guy who had a kid he never saw he said he loved me and after I got pregnant he abandoned me guys like that stay like that.

there is nothing wrong with trying for a second time...i say go for it...you have nothing to lose..if it doesnt work out then at least you know that you can still be friends with him
