Quiting paxil cold turkey is not good. Even cutting the dose over time has side affects. I was on Paxil for 3 years 30mgs and I quit taking them. I hade buzzing in my ears, dizziness, trembles, ect. I would talk to your doctor to see what you could do if not taking them is what you really need to do.

I took paxil for five years. I had a horrible time quitting, but I finally did it. Quitting cold turkey was not the answer. I was extremely emotional when I tried that. What finally worked for me was taking one every other day for a couple of weeks. Then I took it every few days, and so on until I thought I could completely stop. It took a few months to totally stop, but it worked. Good luck!

I quit cold turkey and it SUCKED. I had vertigo so bad for three or four weeks. I would suggest weaning yourself off of it...or take a few days off of work if you quit altogether. Good luck.

Bless your heart, I've been there. Cut your pills in half and take half doses for a week then taper it off to a half dose every other day for a week then finally you can stop altogether. That's how I came off of mine.
