I would say 2 months is going to make a difference, any initial gains you see are usually just build up of lactic acid. Consistency and variety are best. Be obsessive over just abs or just pecs or just biceps may give you a strange look.

Stick with it

My trainer always encourages me to lift and release SLOWLY to make the muscles work harder. Sudden movements could cause injury. On your days off from lifting, do something increase your heart rate like running, biking, etc. because it will burn the fat. Also vary your routine so your muscles work in different ways. Lifting is good but pull, push, stretch, etc. Also, diet has a lot to do with how your muscles build. Remember, no junk food if you really want to look ripped. Eat 5 or 6 small meals during the day of good quality veggies, fruit and protein. Hamburgers and pizzas won't help! The energy bars and drinks are OK once in awhile but are full of sugar and carbs. And don't eat within 2 hours of going to bed.

If you are consistent, you can see a real difference in 10 days. But you have to work those muscles for at least until you feel a good burn, (and then some,) every day... for at least 20 minutes. OK?

A long time.

You have to change your diet, also.
