Matthew 10:33 (NKJV) "But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Would you deny Christ to save your life or the lives of your children? If your answer is yes because it is only words, I ask what if you and/or your children were killed anyways?

I would not deny Christ for anything. My sons know that Christ must come first. They are old enough and have freely embraced our faith. They too would place God first.

Yes I too hope that we never must face this question.

I am not judging, merely asking about your personal interpretation and decision.

To those who have asked. My sons know my faith, they share it. If I deny Christ for ANY reason then I am a hypocrit and not following my faith and God. God first, then spouse and family.

FYI the person or people who have stated that none of us really know what they would do/say you are correct. I say I hope that I would have the integrity to hold to my faith.

There is no room for opinion here. hahahhaaa

Jesus Christ said it. End of Story. He said this for a reason. Jesus was not a poker player. I would not "call" what people might think is a bluff.

I'm sorry dear but if someone had a gun to the back of your nugget and told you to deny Christ or they would murder your children right in front of your eyes, you would deny him so fast you would probably end up biting your tongue. And although I hope you never face that situation let me say this,if you chose to see your children murdered rather than deny your faith you would only prove that you are sick. I have always seen in Christianity a dose of what can only be called insanity, but to surrender your childrens lives to keep from speaking words would confirm insanity beyond all doubt. And any supposed God who would not forgive that "sin" considering the reason is Evil, plain an simple, and not worthy of the adoration of anyone.

No I wouldn't. Even if it meant losing my children, or my life. I believe that if you deny Christ in the most difficult of all situations, then you really didn't put your faith in him, and he will deny even knowing you before his father in heaven.

If a person asks you if you believe that Jesus was the Son of God and you do believe it but tell that person that you don't. Then when it is your time to be judged, Jesus will say he does not know you either. I am a believer in Christ Jesus, now and forever.

I don't know if I'd have the courage within myself to face death willingly rather than deny Christ. I would just have to pray and trust Him as best I could to strengthen me for such a trial, but even Peter denied Him three times to save his skin, so I don't know how well I'd do.

It means if you're too embarrassed to tell the Gospel to others (salvation) Jesus will not confess ( know ) you before the Father. Also, Matthew Chapter 10 verse 32 and Luke Chapter 12 verse 8 God Bless

Why can your question only be answered by "christians"? That's a very nonchristian biased attitude!
Why do you only look at it literally? Could not that one small point you are focused on be incompased within..if you are not living your life in the manner you believe God and his son approve of it is the same as denying them?

One needs to have an understanding of the eternal perspective. And one also needs to have a testimony of the life and mission of Jesus Christ. With these things it would be very hard to deny Christ; even to save ones life and the lives of ones children. What kind of life would that be?

I can't deny Christ, for me He is not some guy from some stories, He is the Son of God. To deny Him is like me dening that I am in existance. But to answer your question no. " Anyone who loves his father or mother more then me is not worthy of m; anyone who loves his son or daughter more then me is not worthy of me..." (Matthew 10:37)

That's a hard question when the children are in the middle, I cannot lie, I cannot deny Christ, least if we are killed, we can go on a family picnic in Heaven:)
