MY dad was watching a sports event with some men he knows from work. They were drinking beer. My little brother was there, my boyfriend who I was really angry at because he wasnt spending time with me and instead was watching that stupid baseball game, and sons of the other men. I told my dad that it was illegal and inappropriate to drink in front of children. He asked if I wanted to join them. I said NO! Than he asked me if I had any homework to do. I mentioned it to my mother and she said to let him alone and suggested that I and the daughter of one of the men find something else to do if we didnt want to watch the game. My dad should know better about what is legal because he works for a police department. Oh ya they had this high fat popcorn he made (lots of margarine), potatoe chips with "mystery" dip, and pizza. The pizza is ok I had some of that too. My boyfriend's mom keeps him on a strict low fat diet.

OH im not going to tell his mom about what he was eating because she will FREAK! out. I love him as the sweet boy who shares special time with me and the new more MACHO Jamie who loves to sit with boys and men and eat junk food. Oh one person said I was eating it too. I only ate the pizza and I LOVE cheese pizza with mushrooms and hope that pizza is not junk food. I will assume it isn't for the sake of agruement lol lol.

It isn't illegal, nor is it inappropriate. Beer is an adult beverage, for adults to enjoy whenever they see fit. Being fall down drunk is a totally different thing. That would be inappropriate. Do you have this feeling while in a restaurant and some patrons are having a beer? No. Sounds to me like you were just a little jealous that your bf was spending time with your dad. Which in a few years will be a GOOD thing.
What's the point of listing what they ate? Are you their mother or something? Take your pity party to your room. Nightie Night.

No... it it not illegal to drink in front of children in your own home. It is illegal to give them alcohol. It is illegal to take them to a bar. Yes, it might be inappropriate.... but learn an important lesson about men with this incident. never come between them an a sports event. Ever. As for the food... good heavens... let the guy eat his junk food in peace. It seems to me you enjoyed it even tho it is unhealthy for you... take responsibility for what goes into your own mouth and just say no.... and leave dad to his baseball game with his buddies.

But it sounds like you need to learn a little bit more respect for your dad.
Do you pay the bills in the house? Do you work
40-50 hour work weeks to feed and cloth you and your family?
Did he hurt you in anyway except for your feelings?
That is your fathers house you are just a tenant.
If I was your father and found out about this stupid question I would start making you pay your way around the house.
I do not drink at all but I am a very strict parent
and the way you just embarrassed your father is unacceptable.

No,it's not illegal. Sounds like you were p''d off because your BF wasn't paying attention to you. You will never keep a man for long if you don't allow him some freedom to do things he enjoys that you don't. What the guys were eating has no bearing on anything unless you were planning to snitch on your BF to his mom-another bad idea if you want him to stick around. No, but you and your boyfriend and your Dad should make it clear to them that beer, and other alcoholic beverages are different from things like pop and milk and such, and how they are different. Also,he should try not to convey to them that there is anything "cool" about drinking. Oh, by the way, he may be your boyfriend, but despite this, he gets to do what he wants to now and then(i.e. watch sports), and not feel like he has to cater to you every single second.
