Boogies, as you call them, are the result of mucus trapping dust and other floating matter that you breath in daily. Mucus is produced by tha body as a way protecting the airway ( including the lungs). As your breath in, you take in a lot of airborne particles. These particles are caught up in the mucus.
Boogies can take any form in your nose, hard, soft, sticky and really icky. The best way to get them out of yor nose is to blow them out into a tissue.
