My ex decided to see some other woman behind my back, she lives on the same road as my dad a few doors up, I even thought of her as a friend at one time. A few months later I met my now fiance. At first I couldn't trust him, I love him dearly but it has taken over 2 years to fully trust him. I now find it hard letting poeple get close but I couldn't resign myself to being a sad person with no one in my life.
If someone has done this to you then you need to learn from it. Take each day as it comes. Instead of thinking about negative things about yourself try to think of positive ones. Get a piece of paper and write down three good things about yourself everyday and keep it on you. When you feel sad just look at it.
Or if you see an attractive woman in the street then smile at her and see how many smiles you get back, I do not suggest doing this if she looks in a hurry or else you will ignored and that wouldn't be the effect you want!
I know you asked about trusting girls but as I have been the situation with a man I imagine it feels very similar.

It was the other sex for me. My husband ran off with another woman. I had a very difficult time trusting men again. It took me years (and a very special man) to learn to trust again. Even now my insecurities will flare up when I least expect it. I have a very difficult time trusting my boss who is a male. I would rather work for a female.

I found my girl of the time in bed with my mate. Not nice, but life does go on. Time is the healer.
