Why would we want it? I mean based on the amount of Mexicans coming into America it appears even the Mexican’s don’t want it.

Well, in some rather strange ways, it would be a good idea.
But I won't dwell too much on that cuz it ain't gonna happen.
I will say that the number one reason for our two countries dilemmas as well as the Mexican problems in their own country is CORRUPTION!
Corruption by political leaders and those that can and will profit by buying political favors, are the number one reason Mexico has failed and now the USA will soon fail equally and for the same reasons. Our gov boys are selling out at every turn and in many ways this includes selling out to Mexico. Corruption is the game of the day among the big dogs. The rest of us are just so much chopped liver.
Our political system here in the US is shot to Hell. Not to get better anytime soon, unless we make major revisions involving changes in how we deal with, monitor and punish, corruption by those who lead. We need campaign reform as part of that change.
Unless some miracle occurrs, life in the US is going to take a major nose dive, even beyond what it has done recently. Hold on to your hats. That fast track down is a coming. It won't be pretty and it won't be pleasant. Most of us will live our lives in desperation beyond what any of us, can imagine.

No, Mexico lost half there nation to fraudulent treaties with the Untied States, and we need to recognize Mexico and America are converging culturally and economically. The political system in Mexico is slowly evolving, and overtime Mexico will have imported a lot of legal, and economic ideas from the Untied States, and the exchanged of knowledge, and cultures will strengthen both nations ties. Mexico overtime will be culturally closer to are set of thinking than Europe would be with ours. Mexican government is corrupt because PRI hacks wanted power to enrich there pockets, and today that is slowly changing, and corruption are a lot more out in the open than 30 years ago. Americans live in Mexico one million Anglos and Growing but the media doesn't mention that. Gonna go back and forth between more overtime, and Xenophobic need to realize America has always had a Latin influence after the dominant Anglo influence.

How can you even think of it? It's such an arrogant way of thinking. How much more land can the U.S. raid. Did you know that about a third or more of U.S. territory was once part of Mexico? Just look at a map and see all the Spanish names in U.S. geography. Cities, towns, mountains, rivers and even states have Spanish names. And about improving the country, what can you say has happened in countries where the U.S. has taken over? History has a peculiar way of repeating events. "Whatever goes up has got to come down", even if it takes centuries. Review your history books and see what happened to the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Arabs, Spaniards, Englishmen.... All founded empires but all fell. "Do unto others as you want others to do unto you." (Golden Rule)

Why or why are you always bashing Mexicans? Do you really think that those are the only illegals in this country. Why don't you all open your eyes and look around you? There is more than Mexicans around you. What is the problem with Mexicans, why do they bother you so much? Is that the only thing you know of to talk about. I advice you to read the paper or look at the news on the television, maybe you can broaden you mind?
I am not a Mexican, I am a citizen like some of you are, born in Puerto Rico, raised in New York and Florida.
I just think that instead of talking so much about it, why don't you all get together and get all the Mexicans and bashed their heads in?. That is what it seems you want to do. Then do it, and stop talking about it.
If it wasn't because this is the Internet I would probably not hear a pit out of your mouths. You hide behind this, the Internet.
p.s. One person said here why do they come here to take our jobs, well, well, well, I can see you all now picking tomatos.Get real!!!!

What could possibly inspire that idea? They are a fine country, compared to some other ones. Also, if they gave us their country, imagine the problems in terms of maintenance. Although their country isn't run terribly, it would take quite a bit of money to bring it up to our standard. Political issues would be ridiculous. We're at war now, as well. That doesn't leave a lot of room for stabilizing a new country.

You know I have thought the same thing, but if a people are smart don't you think they would be inovative and create a better enviroment to live in instead of forcing their way into someone elses country? And if your country is so improverished wouldnt you have a revolution to make it a better place?

If you want to have a land populated by 103 million people and make them all American, even though you hate the 30 million you already have, go on take it!

Yea right! The only way it would be worth our time taking it over would be if we sent armies of bulldozers in there and could rebuild it from scratch. We'd have to sanitize it really well though and fumigation would be necessary in most of the country too. It would be much cheaper to find a way to separate the earth along our southern border and just let it float away from us.

They could make tourism into a multi-billion dollar industry.
They aren't smart enough to pull it together.
They keep KILLING the tourist that go down there and tourist are afraid.
We have enough to handle here. Like getting rid of all the illegal Mexicans and Latin illegals from the USA!
I say we worry about our country first then worry about Mexico.

You know you have a point there and I don't understand it. Mexican give their life coming to the USA through our southern border, but when they are here, they still think back about their impudent and impuissance country that they left because of they couldn't make it. What's wrong with these people, please don't tell me that this is pride because I know the meaning of pride and this is not pride. How could you love something that is doing so much wrong to their soul, I don't know.No they could keep it, I don't think is a good idea for us the USA.
