Why can't you flush the toilet after drug test?

Question

Just wondering why they tell you not to flush the toilet after you give
a urine sample for a drug test? I know there has to be a valid rationale
for this. Thanks!

Because they want to make sure it was your urine and you didn't bring in a vial of someone elses, and to make sure that you didn't have a detox powder or something that you poured in your urine and then into the toilet.

Although you could obviously pour the vial of someone elses urine into the toilet, they just take every precaution possible.

They want to make sure you actually used the bathroom and didnt smuggle in someone elses urin so you could pass the test.They want to make sure you arent flushing a baggy or something you may have used to carry/conceal the urin (people do it). Sometimes there is a dye in the water too and a temp strip on the specimin bottle so they can see its fresh/warm urin, again that it wasnt smuggled in.

they usually put a blue dye in the water so they know if you use it to provide the sample. If you flushed it, you could get clear water that could potentially resemble urine.

To see if that blue liquid is going to change colors due to something else that you might tried to substitute for urine, I guess.

Possibly just to see if you've actually been and not just brought a fake sample?
