Okay,

I'm dating again and the rules, well I was never that good with them anyway. I've met more than a few ladies on the Personals but I seldom get the second date. I've been told too many times one of the following:

1) It was nice but I felt no chemistry.
2) You're a great guy, but I'd rather have you as a friend. (That one really hurts).
3) I don't feel a connection.

As I'm trying to be respectful, I meet them in a very public place a bookstore, coffee, etc. Afterwards, we may walk about, especially if there's a strip mall or enclosed mall around. I don't mind window shopping and as I am trying to put my house back together, I do look and I'll even ask for their input.

Should I not even do that?

Any advise would be great.

Good luck.

Let me break it to you, the "you're a great guy but I'd rather have you as a friend" is actually a good thing. It means they might want to spend time with you but don't want the pressure of putting out.... or knowing you're expecting them to put out eventually.

Take them up on it! That's what's happened to me with my 2 favorite boyfriends (present BF and a former BF). We were buddies and went to the movies and did fun things as pals then, after getting to know them better and appreciating that there was NO PRESSURE, I'm the one that put the moves on them.

Walking around the mall sounds B-O-R-I-N-G! Dinner and a movie is better... or if there's some sort of art show... or a street carnival.

Walking around a mall windowshopping is no fun at all.Go to dinner, and then out to have fun, maybe some bowling, miniature golf something like that.and if you want to take a stroll go to a nice park.Never go out to the movies on a first date because you are trying to talk and get to know each other and you wont be able to do that at the movies..By the way if you do decide to take another stroll at the mall look out for a flower guy selling roses.maybe you can pull something sweeet by buying the girl a rose.

Your appearance and your general personality are having far more effect than anything you are doing. Maybe you're being too meek. Don't be a pervert or a jerk, but maybe you just need to try to 'spark' some chemistry.

If you say something sexually suggestive and the woman likes you, she's NOT going to be offended.

Women generally already know if they want to get-on with you before you even 'go on a date.' Therefore, you should assume they are into it if they agree to go out.

If it turns out she gets offended then she didn't like you anyway and was wasting your time.
