For a Jehovah Witness to deny a baby a life threatening blood transfusion, because of belief's? The baby did not choose to be a Jehovah Witness. They have the Right by Law to decide if the baby lives or dies because of needed blood refusal?

It isn't moral, right, or I believe even Christian. One 15 yr. old girl was accidently given a blood transfusion and she couldn't be consoled becouse she really believes now she won't go to Heaven! I think if these misguided adults don't want one so be it but for anyone under 18 they should be given them. And now with synthetic plasma it isn't even someone elses blood!!!

You might have mistyped your question but it is more accurate than you think.

Yes, blood transfusions are life threatening.

More people die from receiving blood transfusions than Jehovah's Witnesses refusing one.

No one criticize parents who allow their children to die in the armies of their country, because they believe in that country.

No doctor can honestly say "So and so will die if they do not get a blood transfusion" or

"So and so will live if they do get a blood transfusion"

Who would you rather trust, an imperfect doctor with the life of your child, or the all powerful Creator, who has the power to undo the mistakes of the human doctor?

It is not moral in my opinion. But Should the Government have the right to force you to submit your child (for your child's protection) to medical treatment?
And before you think "yes" remember, had the child still been inside the mother. The Government would not allow that same child protection. Had the mother submitted it to a medical action (Abortion) The Government stood by and made Teri Shivo's parents watch as their daughter slowly starved to death.
So, yes The Jehovah Witness should have the right to deny the blood transfusion. Until this Country is willing to save all that can't defend for themselves. Parents should be able to decide what is best for their child. regardless what you or I think.

haven't you heard of blood expander's, ringers solution, cell saver machines its always a life threatening situation.
I know of no child or adult having died from loss of blood in any case of Jehovah's witnesses I have heard of many from accepting blood and along with it getting HIV, Hepatitis etc.

do you know how many trials medicine has to go through before it can be used on humans, blood has had no such trial

and as for the bible stating not to drink blood is actually says abstain from blood, when you can't eat how are you fed? through a tube into your blood, if you are told to abstain from alcohol would you have it transfused into your arm because its not entering your mouth?

all people hear are sensationalised stories fed to them by the media with not a jot of truth in them.

and yes I do use a computer and the Internet

To deny the baby a blood transfusion, if needed, is both illegal and immoral by God's standard.

It is a command from Jehovah God at Acts 15:20,29 to abstain from blood. Do you not understand? Disobedience is what plunged man into sin in the first place when Adam ate the fruit from the tree of Knowledge of Good and Bad that God told him not to do in the first place. You must not be disobedient to God no matter what the cost, Jehovah will at His timing undo everything, that Satan has done, through Jesus Christ his son, Jesus will break up the works of the Devil. It is difficult to lose a loved one to death, but God will make everything right in due time. Because of Jehovah's Witnesses stance on blood because of Bible Scripture there are now around 64 different things that can be used in the place of blood, there are now bloodless surgeries and even doctors are now saying it's better not to take blood, quicker healing, less infection, no risk of contamination from tainted blood, many people who are not Jehovah's Witnesses are wanting bloodless surgery, and all this made possible because of our stance, you can also take blood builders, medicine designed to help your own body build up your blood count before surgery like my daughter has done. When you are in a coma or unconscious how do they feed you? By intravenous injection, they hook you up to a bottle of proteins and nutrients, what is blood but protein and nutrients, because it contains different DNA and other things particular to it's donor your body will recognize it as foreign but usable protein and consume it as food, they use blood only to boost your blood volume when you lose blood which can be done with other non blood substances that are much safer and aren't breaking God's command to abstain from blood.

Just one of many JW false beliefs. The bible says not to drink blood. I've never heard of anyone getting a blood transfusion through their mouth.

The jw organization has lots of problems. According to the Bible, they are FALSE PROPHETS, since they publicly claimed that Christ would return, actually was born and lived:

"1897 "Our Lord, the appointed King, is now present, since October 1874 A.D., according to the testimony of the prophets to those who have ears to hear it:" Studies in The Scriptures vol.4 p.621"

They ARE NOT CHRISTIANS. They teach things which contradict scripture. TRUE Christians teach the Bible and ONLY the Bible. Please do not lump them together with Christians
