how do i prepare a whitetail deer head for a European mount?

I recomend boiling the head,after you have skinned and cleaned as much hair and hide off as you can.After you get it clean soak it in peroxide to whiten it.Bleach tends to make the skull flakey and powdery. Good Luck!!

If you have the head put it in a bucket of bleach, water , and salt and after a couple of days take it out and it will stink but the smell should go away and the hair should of fell off then mount it how you want it

Take off as much hair and meat as you can get off then boil it outside (it stinks). Only the top jaw is left on. Then use a bleach mixed w/H20 or peroxide to soak it in to get it white. Don't leave it in the bleach mixture too long as the bleach will kind of corrode it. Make sure the antlers do not go in since they will lighten too.

skin it as soon as possible, take as much " meat" off as possible then boil, becare not to lower the antler bases into the water...Wish my buddy was here, he does it for a business.....they look great, if you cut the back /bottom of the skull at an angle it will hang on the wall easier and makes it easier to get the brains out before the boiling..

We always put it in the ditch for a while that way the hair and meat comes off then put it in the bucket of bleach to get the rest off and of course bleach it!
