She never hurt me at all. My mother got between us. I won't let her do that this time. FYI The Ex is a Hottie. She wants to try again, and so do I. I've told mom to back off respectfully. Any good suggestions would be helpful.

It's between you and the ex girlfriend. Respectfully tell mom to butt out and do what you feel you must do if you love the ex.

Only if your truly sure that you are not going to let your mom come between you this time. At your age (from your 360 page), your mom has nothing to say about who you date or not. If her feelings are mutual, then it might be worth a try. BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE SURE ABOUT MOM, because it is not fair to your ex-girlfriend to get back together and put her through more hurt if your not.

Tell her that you're sorry that your mom got in the relationship, but you value her as much as your mom. And your mom as layed off of it. Tell her that you want to try again and that it was stupid and immature to let your mom run the relationship b/c sex with her is better! Then cook dinner for her and buy her something expensive and then have a romantic night together.
