Since anyone with common sense knows that there is a difference between "true" and "false", why do so many believe that different religions and faiths, even though they are not in agreement with eachother, all lead to God? John 4:24 says, "God is a Spirit, and those worshipping him must worship with spirit and truth." Therefore, doesn't that mean that there exists true worship (true religion)... as well as false worship (false religion)? Afterall... when Jesus was on earth, weren't the Pharisees and those religious leaders at that time displaying false religion and false worship... and following man-made traditions as doctrines of men?

The biggest "lie" that Satan uses is "false religion" This is how He keeps people from finding the "true religion" plus the one and only True God.

One thing Jesus will do when he returns, is get rid of "false religion" along with anyone practicing it.

What is false religion?

Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems?
The fault lies, not with all religion, but with “false” religion.

False Religion...MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war?

False Religion...SPREADS FALSE DOCTRINE: Most religions teach that the soul of spirit is some invisible part of a human that survives the death of the physical body. However, the Bible teaches a different doctrine. “The soul that is sinning, it itself will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected, an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. Does your religion teach that the soul does not die?

False Religion...TOLERATES IMMORAL SEX: Church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy. What, though, does the Bible teach? It plainly states: “Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men.” 1 Cor. 6:9,10 Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex?

God will call false religion to account for all the despicable acts she has committed in his name.

What must you do if you do not want to share the fate of false religion? "Get out of her, my people," Rev. 18:4, Now is the time to flee from false religion! But to where can you flee? Not into atheism, since its future is also bleak. The only haven is within true religion

How to identify true religion.

True Religion...PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display “love among themselves.” Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.

True Religion...TRUSTS GOD'S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God's Word, the Bible

True Religion...STRENGTHENS FAMILIES AND UPHOLDS HISH MORAL STANDARDS: True religion trains husbands to “love their wives as their own bodies,” helps wives to develop “deep respect for their husbands,” and teaches children to “be obedient to their parents.”

>>"weren't the Pharisees and those religious leaders at that time displaying false religion and false worship... and following man-made traditions as doctrines of men? "<<

I assume by this you mean the sanhedrin's rulings on things...
if that IS what you mean, well, God gave them that authority, to inteperet and rule on the law,

remember that judaism never had this "only jesus can talk to god" thing... everyone can talk to God, and people serving in such roles would have an especially strong connection to him.

being a good person, and believing in God, is whats important.

I suggest you read more about the talmud and its structure, you might find it interesting.

We all live on one planet.
Presuming that we all have day shift jobs, when morning comes and we all open the doors of our houses to go to work, which one is the true door?

And yet, do all of these door lead us out of our houses?

Yes, there is true spirituality and false spirituality.
The latter can be told because at some point, they always ask for money from their followers/ participants.

As to following 'doctrines of men' there are divinity colleges you can go to even now, 90% of whose books were written by men, about men, or about the writings of other men.

'True' is a determination of the mind, and might not exist outside of perception.

Yes they were following false religion, Jesus wasnt happy with them either! If, as many people believe, everyone's religion is equally valid and acceptable, how can there be "any" false prophets, let alone "many false prophets"? The fact that the Bible says there shall be "many false prophets" implies that not everyone's religion is pleasing before God.Since there are, as the Spirit of God says, "many false prophets," are there not also "many false religions" (1 Cor. 8:6; Eph. 4:4-6)? That being so, what of your faith? What of your religion? Is it of God or of man (Isa. 8:20)? "Examine yourselves whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves" (2 Cor. 13:5).

You seem to understand that the hundreds (1000s?) of religions
all are spin off from something earlier because a few powerful influential disagree.
The Jew's incorporated the laws and stories from the Romans and earlier Greeks and I think we can find Egyptian laws. Very clever to compose letters, scripts and scrolls into the books of the old testament.
God, Jesus, allah, Buddha, the others, they don't strike us down with lightning or the fire from hell if we disagree.
SO start your own religion the others did.
Do like Nike! JUST DO IT they are all senseless.

Are all religions acceptable to God? NO!

Is it true that there is good in all religions? NO!

How did Jesus view religious leaders who pretended to be righteous but disrespected God?
“Jesus said to them: ‘If God were your Father, you would love me, for from God I came forth and am here. Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth. . . . You are from your father the Devil, and you wish to do the desires of your father. That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie. Because I, on the other hand, tell the truth, you do not believe me. . . . This is why you do not listen, because you are not from God.’”—John 8:42-47.
The majority just like and take what they want to ear. Free will.

You are right. There is only one faith although many people like to view it many different ways. Everyone it seems has a different take on the right way to worship God. If you follow his laws and give him your heart then you are doing what he wants. It doesn't matter what religion you call yourself if you follow the commandments and love God then you are all right.

Exactly! How insightful of you. It is my idea that God created us and scattered us abroad thereby diversifying us before we even knew what diversity was. It makes sense to me that this is more like a wonderfully divine puzzle with religions overlapping ~ and we are all part of it. Not just one, some things are meant to be. But those of us who love Him, try and put the pieces together, and I'm sure the finish puzzle will simply read LOVE:o]

I don't think that Buddish, Hindus & other non Jesus faiths would agree on you assessment that everything leads to God. Because It don't. One must be carful with saying "All leads...or "eveybody feels..." because this sets up the point of view as being a lie right off the top. Evenone knows that.

who gets to say what is true and what is false? no human being has ever had more of a say in what is true or false as the next person. we've been around for a long, long time. just because one doctrine or one account says one thing, that doesn't mean that it governs truth. truth is relative. follow your heart and trust in your inner strength and intuition.
