The former human race.I think giving us another 500 years is being generous at best.At that point there probably won't be anything left on the planet capable of referential thought.
By then we will probably have depleted,polluted or somehow destroyed all of our natural resources.Scientists and alike claim roaches and scorpions will still be here when we are gone.Personally I don't care what anyone refers to me as in half a milennia.I'll be compost long before that.
If steps are taken to halt and subsequently reverse all of the damage we've done then we have a chance of making it that far.In that case we may be referred to as the electronic age as I think technology will have made a quantum leap by then and today's technology will seem archaic.Electronics will seem as technologically advanced as plumbing seems to us today.
