How about the 911 hotline. After answering some of these calls all night or whenever your shift begins and ends, your depression should have evaporated. There are people out there who have problems with their lives that are so tantamount that your depression will seem like a blue funk that only happens once in a while.

As longh as you are on and stay on medication and get frequent counseling, probably retail or food service will give you the best money with the most flexability. However, should yoube on disabiolity, check first because should you work, you may lose benefits and then should you have problems, what do you do. The system is set up to preclude those on disability from trying to work even part time. You are punished for it as they then use it as an excuse to say "cured" and abandon your needs.

Alot depends on you. I would suggest something that interests you. something that holds your interest. You want to stay away from something that is going to make you feel more depressed. I myself love kids so for me working with kids would be a good choice. I like the person above mention would enjoy working with people that had cancer but because I would feel I am giving something back after loosing my mom to this .
each person has things they like and dislike. it is best to stay with things that interest you. If you dislike kids well then helping out as a teaching assistant wouldn't work. If you are not one to sit still then a desk job would bore you all to heck. so look within yourself and find out your own likes.
good luck.

That really depends on who you are as a person and what you like/liked before you sank into your depression, you should try to engage yourself both physically and mentally but above all go and see sombody professionally to help get you over the hurdles your now facing.

I'm told that volunteering at your local Pediatric Terminal Cancer Ward in your local hospital is very rewarding, especially for those that are depressed. Cheer you right up!!
