or reinterpret things to suit what they thought.. not like you and me???
They were 'governed' by the 'will' of God... as opposed to you and me ... who are stuck with the 'human' condition of interpreting things as we see them from our upbringing... our anscestors were 'stuck' writing down the 'truth'.... except for them other guys who wrote the Apocrepha(spelling) .. they were just ... well ... mistaken I guess. And those other guys who wrote stuff...they were just making up stories... But WE, who are willing to admit that we CAN just make up stories... are, what is the word, 'constrained' ???... to believe that everything that was accepted as 'in' was true... and everything that was dumped is 'out' ??

The problem is that we have no authentic, reliable, testable way to separate those people who are "governed by the will of God" and those people who just wrote stuff down.

Everyone has an opinion but no one can prove anything. The only authority religion has ever had was the fear it could instill in people who did not believe. That, of course, is not very honest.

Since all claims are unprovable, all are equally unreliable nonsense.

And the question is?
If you are asking if people believe the Bible because they are told to I would say no or at least not me. I can do math 101 and I can read. It is a no brainier when looking at prophecy. I will take only one. Jesus said to his disciples looking at the Temple of Herod that there would not remain one stone on top of another and when Titus invaded in 96 AD he took all the stones down to get the gold off of them. There are thousands more. GOD knows that mankind wants to justify their actions and will be led as far away from GOD as possible so he even provided a no brainier situation for his word through prophecy and yet people will just blindly accept what is told to them and then accuse Christians of doing exactly what they do. Its almost comedy,

May GOD richly bless you.

May GOD richly bless you.

we do interpret what we know based upon our culture and society which has changed and evolved over the years into a more complex society. yet we must admit there may have been some embellishments from those writing back then. after all even if they weren't embellished there may have been some misinterpretations due to differences in languages
