Because if we aren't allowed to do that stuff in our mortal lives, how will we know how "good" heaven is?

The biblical idea of slavery was more like indentured servitude. It was only for a specified amount of time (a sentence, if you prefer) as payment for a wrong-doing that could not be paid monetarily. Life long slavery was not practiced by the ancient Israelites and it would have been condemned by them. The only life long slaves were made so at the request of the slave itself, remaining a servant and basically part of the family for life.
Pedophilia is a modern construct. It was not uncommon for men to wed 12 year old girls just a few hundred years ago. Life expectancy was a lot lower back then and if you wanted a family, you had to start young. However, sex outside of wedlock was not permitted, whether it was with a minor or anyone else for that matter. Some traditions state that Mary, the mother of Jesus was only 15 when she was married to Joseph who was around 65. The practice of marrying young is very different from modern pedophilia which is perpetrated by predators who wish to take advantage of the weak and vulnerable. This crime would have been punishable in ancient Israel too.
I can't speak to what Islam believes. I've never read the Koran.
Have you?

In the times of arranged and political marriages children were sometimes married as early as 8 or 9. A pedophile could simply get a child bride and use her till she got to old, by which time his daughters were usually available. The concept of pedophilia is comparatively new, we can't expect people writing centuries ago to abide by Victorian standards. As to slavery, the Bible endorses it, Pope Nicholas V issued a Papal Bull in 1452 authorizing it (the Romanos Pontifex), and it is still practiced in many parts of the world. It's like drugs, as long as there is a market, there will be suppliers.

Slavery was the norm in OT times. Further, slavery had very explicit rules & regulations which held masters accountable for the treatment of their slaves. Our idea of slavery, today, does not mirror what is laid out in the Bible.
Pedophelia wasn't a concept, as girls were considered women when they attained menstration. Plus, girls reached maturity at a later age than they do now (14/15, as opposed to 8/9). Incest and rape were punishable by death, depending on the fanily's desire (girls were the "property" of their fathers, or other responsible male family member, until they were married).
However, I believe the story of Muhhamed's 9-year-old wife would have been a bit odd, even in the Old Testament times.

Man, I tell you seeking after salvation is getting harder everyday. I think the Bible does but just in not those words. "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you." And many others about how to treat people. I don't think that pedophilia was something that the writers ever envisioned and so wouldn't have written about it. But then again I don't claim to be a Bible expert, either.

Because those books are based 2000 years ago and during those times slavery is "ok" and so is pedophilia. The question you should be asking is why do people follow the rules of these books when it was based 2000 years ago.

It was an acceptable practice at that time to own slaves. The slaves back then though, often were offered a contract for a certain number of years and bought themselves out. It was a different concept of slavery. Yes, and I said "often" NOT always...huge difference.

It's impossible to prohibit slavery suddenly .. since thousands of slaves would be thrown to street and will have nothing to do .. and eventually become criminals.
Islam put many laws to reduce the slavery gradually.

It doesn't...I mean, they don't? Slavery was acceptable for thousands of years......if a person did not like the word slave, it was indebted servant. Pedophilia is rampant in asian countries. And again, I find no verses that are specific to it. Please, post some verses you feel are relevant.
