Whan a man looks at a wpman and says that she looks "high maintenance" does this mean that he's a cheapskate or just wants a bed buddy.

This not only applies to women nowadays. It also applies to men.
They think if a woman has a good job and/or money, she should be spending it on them.

It usually means that she takes more effort than she's worth. That can happen in different ways. She might need too much entertaining, or be emotionally draining. I once told a woman she was high maintenance and she denied it. But the fact was, she wanted to have a baby and I knew it. She didn't really care if she got married, either. Sure enough, she got pregnant and the guy got stuck for child support payments.

Most Likely a woman or man who is high maintenece is usually only looking fo money. I am high maintenece but I always pay for my own expenses. I have argued with my BFs over who pays occasionally LOL

That it will take a lot of money to support her ways of dressing and living her style she's accustomed to. As in, a lot of shopping, getting her hair and nails done, etc.

high maintenance means that she thinks very highly of herself and her apperance and takes forever to get herself just perfect, her hair and makeup have to be perfect. she wants nice things and expects her man to give her nice things.

thats the only thing she wants is money and if you cant buy her what she wants shell leave him its like having a hummer H2 you have to keep putting gas (gas is expencive this days) and what happenes if you dont put gas it doesn't do anything. shell leave lol

It means he's afraid she might possibly be a gold digger. Or that he is afraid he can't give her the extravagant lifestyle that she's used to.
