Because it's what their religion demands of them, and so they allow it. It's not right, but they have a different sense of right and wrong because of their religion.

I do not know of any Muslims that believe or stick up for "honor killings" at all. In the city I live in, there were 37 cases of domestic murder last year. Husbands killing wives, wives killing husbands, parents killing their children. Not one was Muslim. Stop spreading hate filled propaganda and do yourself and everyone else a favor...pick up a book and educate yourself.

I doubt most muslims stick up for "honor" killings because most muslims besides the fanatics don't believe in killing. Your so ignorant to generalize a huge population of people by the actions of a few. I am atheist and I can say that all Christian blackmail you with hell and bomb abortion clinics but that just isn't true. I can say all Americans are evil murdering 600,000 innocent Iraqis but that isn't the case. Don't generalize people.

This is not a ''Muslim'' thing. It has nothing to do with Islam. It is a very old custom of the different cultures------and it is beginning to die out, as many governments are placing laws against it.

Honor killings....there is no Honor in Killing as far as Islam is concern. these people who are doing this are not Muslim. Because real Muslims follow the Quran.
[4:92] No believer shall kill another believer, unless it is an accident. If one kills a believer by accident, he shall atone by freeing a believing slave, and paying a compensation to the victim's family, unless they forfeit such a compensation as a charity. If the victim belonged to people who are at war with you, though he was a believer, you shall atone by freeing a believing slave. If he belonged to people with whom you have signed a peace treaty, you shall pay the compensation in addition to freeing a believing slave. If you cannot find* a slave to free, you shall atone by fasting two consecutive months, in order to be redeemed by GOD. GOD is Knower, Most Wise.
An Unforgivable Offense
[4:93] Anyone who kills a believer on purpose, his retribution is Hell, wherein he abides forever, GOD is angry with him, and condemns him, and has prepared for him a terrible retribution.
[4:94] O you who believe, if you strike in the cause of GOD, you shall be absolutely sure. Do not say to one who offers you peace, "You are not a believer," seeking the spoils of this world. For GOD possesses infinite spoils. Remember that you used to be like them, and GOD blessed you. Therefore, you shall be absolutely sure (before you strike). GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

To them it is an honor to die for their God and or their cause. It is a twisted belief but it is what the value. Like wise American do the exact same thing, Parents encourage their children to join the military in order to carry out the will of a nation. whether it is right or wrong, their kids get killed. So there is not really a difference but only what you believe and what you hold of value.
Because of this line of thought to attempt to justify things, Christians are no part of this world. which means Christians do not get involved in worldly affairs like politics etc

It is a waste of time.
These people ( your talking about) have not evolved their brainless or druged out of their minds.
PS lary if you kill all the people in one place, (genocide) there is no one left to record the deaths and if someone tries! yep you got it.
Not many people have a true history of the evils inside of islam.
