This would have been a great question if it were your own... I know that someone wrote this to Dr. Laura. You just changed some of the words.... HOWEVER - it's still funny.

I congratulate you on your wit. I enjoyed it immensely the first time I heard it spoken by actor Martin Sheen on "The West Wing"..
To answer your question, the laws set forth in Leviticus were intended for the nascent nation of Israel. These exacting laws were intended only for the Jews as part of their covenant with God.
When Jesus arrived, he ended Judaic Law, including the Ten Commandments! The fact that he would not uphold Judaic law was one of the things that angered many of the Jews (particularly the ruling class) and caused him to be executed.
Today, we Christians live under only two commandments:
1. Do to others as you would have them do to you (The Golden Rule)
2. Love God with all your heart, soul and mind.
That's it! If you study the life and teachings of Jesus, you'll find that those two commandments pretty much cover all of the Ten Commandments except the Sabbath.
What about homosexuality? The fact that God found it an "abomination" is inclusive. There is some behavior that is abhorrent in the eyes of God, whether they're put down as law or not. Homosexuality is actually mentioned in the New Testament as well (as being "a shameful lust") which makes it clear to modern Christians where God stands on this.
New Testament references:
Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9, and 1 Timothy 1:10
They didn't include that in the script for the "Dr. Laura" character on the West Wing, did they? :)

no...
to start with....if you'd LIKE to sell your daughter into slavery you got a problem that neither money or the law cant fix
and permitting somehting and condoning it are NOT the same. The law of Moses allows divorse yet God says he HATES divorse
In the end you do not live in a covenant nation like ancient Israel and some of the cerimonial and sabbath and other laws would not apply and certianly not the same manner. Some laws were meant as specif laws to a specific people, some are moral for all people for all time, some are merely cerimonial
but Im sensing a more than a little sacrassm from you in this list

OK, those are all OLD TESTAMENT! we are no longer under the law...yes they are important but do not apply to us in this day. Look in Romans 1:24,26-28,32,1 Corinthians 6:9,10,2 Peter 2:4-10,Jude 6-8,Genesis 19:4,5,13,24,Judges 19:22,23. these all apply to us today, they are new testament. You may ask, how does she know we have a new testament. This is one of the scriptures that tells us we have a new covenant. read Hebrews 8:6,7,13 ...He [Christ] is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. For if that first covenant [the Law of Moses] had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second....In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
the sabbath, even Christ , "worked" on the sabbath. Luke 13:14-16 But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, "There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day." The Lord then answered him and said, "Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound -- think of it -- for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?" we are no longer bound to OT covenant.

They are just what you said "LAWS"
We are no longer under the Laws after Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins....If you want to study the Bible then go to the New Testament.
The price in the Old Testament for breaking these laws were death.
homosexual lifestyle is an abomination, since Christ and the cross we can ask for forgiveness and be set free if we put the old ways behind us..
If you are living the new testament you are denying Jesus and the Cross.
If you need answers to the Bible seek the Holy Spirit and he will guide you and give you wisdom in his will for your life.
Your answers will come from Jesus not from people here on yahoo answers.
Are these serious question or are you mocking?
Have a blessed evening in Jesus

Are you kidding? If you want to live in the Old Testament, you'd better invent a time travel machine. Christ Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament law. While the basic 10 commandments still rank high, the specific rules no longer apply. Jesus even boiled the 10 down to 2.... Love the Lord God with all you heart soul and mind, and... Love your neighbor as your self. So... if you love God, you will obey his basic 10 laws... and if you love mankind, you will treat mankind with respect... like you want to be treated yourself.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first ang greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."(Matthew 22:37-40) First work on learning to love God and then after you know what that means, you can worry about keeping any of the other Laws.

1) it is now illegal. Obey the law of the land
2) It is kind of icky, but, there is no law against. The Law of the old testament was broken, the accused stood, and the accused was put to death for it
3)same as 1.
4)the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath.
Everything you question, is pre Christ. Christ came to fulfill the Law, which ALL of humanity fails at.

All the Old Testament Laws were nailed to the cross with Jesus. The only commandments (Laws) we are to obey are the ones in the New Testament.
