Tattoo's are a personal touch to your body image. Remeber that each individule person will have thier own opinion of what a girl with a tat means, and what is trashy or classy. However. Yours is the only opinion that matters. I suggest putting a tattoo in a place where you can show it off, but that is easily covered up when you go into the buisness world. Your lower back, either shoulder blade, ankle, breasts, around the belly button. Do keep in mind that as you age and your body changes so does a tattoo. If you pick a place where your body can expand rapidly due to weight gain, your tattoo may stretch and not go back to it's original form after the weitght is lost. Tattoo's are a wonderful way to bring personality to the body you live with each day, just remember that you do have to live with that personality forever and sometimes the choices we make as young adults aren't the greatest when we've reached our sixties. I have two tattoo's and will be putting a third on in just a few months. My biggest suggestion is be sure, if you have any uncertainty wait. Needles and ink will be thier in a year.

It is completely up to you. I have 3 tattoos i have them in places that people cant see them unless i want them to. They all mean something. If you do choose to get a tattoo then get one that has some meaning and when you pick that tattoo artist make sure they have a good rep and check the place out a couple of times before you actually get it done and make sure it is a sterile place. One place that i like have a tattoo is on my hip. It is kinda sexy. There are only a few people that will be able to see it. On your shoulder is another place that is easy to hide if you want it hidden!! Good luck!!

Get it on your lower back or just on your shoulder.A tattoo is a long needle going threw your skin,it goes threw the dermis and epidermis of your skin.So it goes threw the top layer and second layer of skin.Injecting ink into your skin to make it that color. They're not cheap to let you know.It may hurt, some people say it tingle, and some say it hurts like crap.It really depends on how tough you are.And remember you can always get a henna tattoo they stay on for about 3 months and they are about 10 to 20 dollars.A regular tattoo is permanent and if you want it off you will have some serious scars there. And remember you'll get old and it will look so funny.

getting a tattoo is a very personal choice. speaking from experience, wait until you come up with an idea that means something to you and that you absolutely adore. then, wait 2, 3, 4 months and see if you still fill the same way about the idea before seeking the right artist to do it. this is something that will be with you forever. it should mean something to you and have emotional value.

also, don't let the pricetag pay a factor in who does your tattoo. general rule of thumb, you get what you pay for. it's better to pay out a little more and get a high quality piece than to pay less and get something that not as good.

Tatoos are body art and is one's personal preference. Just remember that one day you will be older and wondering if you should have had it done. If you really want one, I would suggest talking to someone at the tatoo parlor...ask them where a good place would be to prevent too much stretching if you decide to have children...so anywhere on stomach would not be a good idea. Also think about your threshold for pain...other areas hurt more than others...my friend has one on the middle of her lower back...IT HURT LIKE HELL...those were her words...and she usually has a high threshold for pain. A good place to have one that won't get in the way later in life is the ankle...summer time you can show it off everywhere...and when it's time to enter corporate america you can cover it with a nice business suit. It's all up to you though...its all preference for the person...some say "NO WAY" others say "I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY NEXT ONE!"

Good luck!

You asked if you should get a tattoo. That's a great question. You're too young to realize the stupidity of getting a tattoo. You shouldn't do it. Still, I don't know why you asked. From the follow up information it looks like you really just want to know where and what.

Since you sound like you are going to get one and are just asking where and what, why don't you just start a list of the guys you've had or will have s ex with on your lower back. That way each guy your with can read the list while hitting it doggie style.

Some of you shouldn't judge. I have five tattoos and I get compliments on them all time - and I am very lady-like. Before you get one, think about places you could place it that could out in the open or hidden (depending on the situation). If you are going to the beach, having one on the small of your back or on the nape of neck would be cool. Maybe even your shoulder blade. If plan on going out into the professional world someday, you want to be able to cover it, if your place of employment frowns upon them. If you see a really cool design in a magazine or on the internet, you should cut it out/print it out and find a reputable tattoo artist to trace a design for you that he can put on you. If it is something too intricate, the smaller it gets, the more you take away from the detail of it. Most importantly - think long and hard before you get one. It is permanent. You can get it removed but it is super expensive.

The only people that should get tats are people that know what they want and where. If you aren't sure, don't get one. Tattoos are forever. I personally love them and can't think of enough places to put all the ones I want. But I would never put a tattoo I was unsure of on my body.

If you choose to get one, make sure you go to a good tattoo shop. Make sure it's clean, everything is sterile and make sure you listen to your artist. You might think a small tattoo with lots of detail would be pretty, but in 10 years it will look like a blob. The people you go to are professionals take their advice. Good Luck

If you're seriously thinking of getting one, make sure it's something you know you really want and don't think you'll regret in a few years. Make sure you do some research beforehand. Check around to all the tatto shops, and try to pick the one with the best track record. If you're not sure, ask some people you might know that have tattoos where they got theirs done, and if they would recommend the place. Also, I wouldn't recommend getting one on your lower back because it's notoriously known as a tramp stamp. Just a suggestion.....good luck

Just be sure you're ready to get it when the time comes. It takes a lot of planning. Remember it is there for a very long time. You could do something on the neck, shoulder, or the small of your back. Make sure you go to someone who is sterile. Watch them open up the needles.
