It's a boy. I like silly names like Linus. I also like people names like Doug, Willie, Jake, Ozzie. My family just doesn't like any of those choices. Please help us find the perfect name for our puppy.

Thanks, everybody. I'm going to hold off on choosing a best answer to see what else people come up with, but so far I really like some of these. My husband would like Molson since he likes beer. I also like Archie. We had a golden named Bear, so probably won't do that one again.

You will find that Golden Retreivers shed little furry dust balls, so why not name him Dusty? And if he's a Red Golden Retreiver, name him Rusty. I too don't like the usual names like Buddy, Sparky, ect. or for a really unusual name, Iggy or what is the name of your favorite place. Mix up the letters so if mine is chicago i could name him chico or agochi (not a good example huh?)but you get the idea. Have some fun with the name.

Boomer. Sometimes Goldens can be fun loving, crazy dogs. And this is a name that tends to fit.
