The 'one" god won't be up for re-election until civilization as we know it completely implodes...Man has found, through the ages, that it is much easier to manage the people with everyone believing in only one god because then there can only be one interpreter of god to issue proclamations...imagine the chaos (as in current times, and each religious sect believes only in one god-their god).
I suppose one could theorize that god is always up for re-election somewhere, and we all (EVERYONE) haven't yet elected him/her.

Nobody because there's only one God in heaven. So nobody can't "run against" God because there is and always will be one God in heaven.
