It's a revolver, with six cylinders to carry the bullets or ammo.
Used mainly in the old West, as opposed to an automatic, that carries the ammo, in a chamber or clip and can carry up to a dozen bullets.
In a revolver, after you shoot the first bullet, the cylinder turns, to bring the next cartridge up, ready to shoot.
