Dihydrogen Monoxide is the Chemical Compound Name for the element we know as water.
Used mainly as a joke, this is a rather confusing name aimed at confusing those of us who have quite possibly not used the Periodic Table and other such chemical name listings in quite some time.
Enjoy laughing at the humorous side of this. Besides, if you can't laugh at yourself, you can't laugh at all. And personally, I believe the answer given by "Jester" is aong the better answers here. Reasoning? Oh, I've read that article before. ;-p
