I clicked install on a trial computer virus program and now my computer is sluggish. I'm trying to delete it out completely, but it must be hiding somewhere still because it is still in my menu.

Which antivirus did you install? In some cases, hackers have disguised their spyware to look like security software. Genuine antivirus software come with their own uninstaller. You should be able to see it from Start Menu > All Programs > Antivirus > Uninstall. Otherwise, you can also find it on Start Menu > Control Panel > Add / Remove Program...

It would help if you can provide the name of the antivirus program. In worst case scenario, you might have to use a third party uninstaller (there are several free ones).

If you are deleting programs to uninstall them you are makin a BIG mistake! You dont delete programs! You uninstall them properly in add remove programs in control panel! If you have deleted files or folders belonging to the program you may NEVER get it out! If it doesnt uninstall, you will have to reinstall the program and then uninstall it!

What did you do to remove it? Try opening your Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs and removing it from there.
