That might be a stupid question but I can't figure it out. I have videos, some sent to me through email from friends and other off of my camera but they all open with quicktime. How do I make them work with WMM?

If you're looking for something to change the file formats, which you probably are, since you're asking a question involving Windows Movie Maker and not Windows Media Player, I'd suggest getting Total Video Converter or look around for a free Video Conversion Program. I have only been able to edit .wmv, .mpg, and .avi's in WMM so far. I've had problems with other formats.

Right click on the file then you will see a list look down and go to "open with" then you can choose from another list of programs and choose "Windows picture and fax viewer" or go to "open with" and click on choose program .

(This will change the type of program it opens with) Quick time to "Windows media player" or "windows picture and fax viewer"

To import the file open WMM, then go to "file" at the top and choose "import". Browse to your file then click ok.

(It will import the file to Windows movie maker)

Hope this helps
