My friend told me about a place where stay at home moms can take their kids to play with other kids while you get to sit and visit with other moms and dads. I don't know where to start though.

Well I dont know where you live but look for a mops group (mothers of preschoolers) There are moms clubs all over, sign up for a mom and tot class and or look for a play area like a coffee house with a kids play area in it. Good luck. you can meet some really nice people in those kinds of groups. Check in a local paper or look online at your city some times you can find a neighborhood welcome wagon that could direct you.

Contact your local momsclub international. Go to the website for local contact info. It's awesome--you are immediately put in contact with other moms in YOUR area with kids the same age as yours. There are playgroups, outings, moms nights out, all kinds of great stuff. I joined my local moms club as soon as I moved here 3 years ago and that's where I've made all my friends, and my kids have lots of friends from it too.

When i wanted my twins and younger child to go to playgroup/nursery i phoned up lots of local places, then visited them all. I got to see what they were like and the boys got to play a little. Then i enrolled them in the one we liked best.
You should ask about all the policies too, such as discipline policy. If you leave your child in there care you need to know they have similar ideas to your childcare policy. But if you want to stay with her see what she is interested in...there are music groups, gym groups and just parent and toddler groups. Try an indoor play area they often have toddler mornings.

Well where I live theirs actually a play area in the mall and it's really nice, it's perfect
to go to during the week cause the weekends get a little crowded, plus it's free and very safe for little ones.
I don't know if your citys mall has the same thing.
