Wouldn't you say that we women are the stronger sex in matters of sexuality and we should not lord that over them either? Most people will agree that men are more easily excited by what they see and women by the mind of the person.

Since when do men not lord their physically stronger self over women? Yes we are the stronger in matters of sexuality and men have to be led to believing that sex is not just the physical act they think it is.

If you mean that women shouldn't tease men sexually, I'll go along with that -- not because it's a power thing (even though it is), but just because it's good manners.

Better be careful, though: This argument isn't very far from the Islamic teaching that the mere existence of women is the downfall of all men, everywhere, at any time.

You are talking about "abuse of power". Men have physical power, women have "erotic manipulation power". I would say all are guilty of abusing their power. But there is a little difference. Women's "sex power" is not so obvious! When a man is forcing you, physically - you know right then and there. But when a woman casts her "erotic spells" on a man - the man is denied the right to be aware that he is being manipulated. This is the main difference - awareness. Being manipulated and not even knowing it! It's obvious that "stealthy manipulation" method is far more efficient than "physical force". You have more room to maneuver. You have more options. And - most important - your "crime" is invisible. That's way, some men, recognizing the supremacy of manipulation over force, changed their approach and started using manipulation. The combination of physical strength and manipulation is far more devastating! If a man "likes it rough" - he can be manipulative first, and resort to force when it's too late for the victim to defend herself. The problem is that boys are more educated than girls - when it comes to sex. Think about it - boys get their sex education not from their parents. They get it from a far more "respectable" source - Playboy, Hustler etc. Beyond those sexy pictures there is information. Precious information. A boy learns about "the mysterious power" a woman can have over him. His not so defenceless! And, more important - after the sexual tension is gone - all spells are rendered harmless. A woman's power over a man is based on his hunger! If his FULL - you cannot touch him! Also, if a man is "taken" (in love with another woman - I'm talking true love here! - not that "he's got a girlfriend"!) - it's almost impossible for another woman to control him.

I wouldn't say that it's a problem of "force" VS "manipulation" - I thing is a problem of different kinds of manipulative techniques men and women will exert on each other.

I think the most beautiful kind of "battle" is when you are being manipulated by someone. You know what he/she is doing. You like it and you explore their creativity in manipulation. You explore how far are they willing to go... For what purpose... For what kind of relationship... It's a double manipulation - because your awareness allows you to know them, to put them in different situations, to make them adapt their manipulation - it's like dancing.
And that's the beauty of it.

With all the problems in today's modern culture (broken homes, poor parenting, crime) I am of the opinion that women have created there own dimise by wanting to compete with men in the working world. I feel that the the greatest accomplishment is to have a warm happy home and family life (houswives were looked down upon by bra-burning radicals) Now that those women got what they wanted they make up at least half of the employed and unemployed people these days. Unemployment is high, all middle class people are basicly underpaid. Real men rarely exist, instead we have a society of wimps that expect there women to earn half the take home pay. They have been taught to be wimps by those women libbers. And now all young families are caught up in the confusion of what nature designed men and women for. Don't get me wrong as far as equal rights go I believe in basic equal rights for all people.

The Bible in Proverbs says to treat women tenderly. Many verses tend to train men to be less violent around them with severe penalties for injury.

You are correct in that men should not "lord" over women. If I love my wife, sisters, mother, and other female friends in my life I will not seek to dominate but to love. Good question.

No your right.
A man (?) who dominates or demeans a female or uses physical forces, is evil, plain and simple. But there is a woman somewhere who can flatten his nose or break his head but it wouldn't help.
But I also know some women so stupid to accept the violence and take the blame for his sick mind. SO ?

Man is not to LORD over women.
Where did you find that.
It's not scripture!

Indeed they are co-equals.
BIBLE says:
Jesus said, "For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh. Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder" (Matt 19:5-6).

a man shall leave his mother and father and cleave to a woman and they shall become one IE two people man+woman merge =one.

nothing about Lording over woman there!!!!!!!!!!

I heard it once this way, a man is like a piano, big, brawny and kind of in the way and loud, a women well, like a violin, you have to hold it carefully, and play it not too aggressive, but with skill, and you have to know it is fragile and expensive so handling it with care is important.

--------- unless you respect eachother only then you can make beautiful music together.
