What can you use to poke a hole in a seashell?

If you can get one, a dentist's drill bit should do nicely. Failing that, check out a craft store that sells Dremel tools and get the finest bit you can. You don't want to "poke" or "punch" a hole in the shell, you'll shatter it all to pieces. You want to "cut" or "bore" a hole.

You need a drill bit, you'll bust it trying to poke it..
