I agree, prayer is the best stress relief by far!!! I also deep breath, talk about it, cry (sometimes for a minute to get it out), enough sleep, love others, helping people, and thinking of the most logical way to resolve whatever the issue may be at the time. Stress is unnecessary and if you think positive, good things will happen. I think of life this way, whatever is bothering you will be better sooner than you think, life's way too short to spend it worrying. Everything will ALWAYS be okay...God never gives us more than we can handle.

If you are looking for a way just to not have the stress death is the only 100% sure of achieving that goal. I would try to get rid of some of the things that were causing me stress. As people now days we often over load ourselves with way too much work for us to handle. As a result we do not get the a good rest which intern makes us more tired each day this goes on and less capable of handling stress.
sleep deprivation amplifies the stress. If you we not tired stress would be easier to handle because you brain can operate better. They say that sleep helps your brain sort out the events that happened since the last rest in fact this is the only reason they can find that we need sleep for. If when we are rested and alert we have stress and we say it would be a 3 on the 1 to 10n scale it could seem to a tired person like a 5 or 6 the more tired you get the larger the stress feels.

I've found the best thing for stress in breathing..I know that sounds dumb but it's true. EMOTION is energy in motion...so keep it in motion..breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth DEEPLY and it's amazing how quickly the heavy feelings inside..melt. As a grandmother I've learned that I always have choices as to where my mind goes..choose love and muster up appreciation for the situation that is in itself..can teach you how to be stronger, happier. You are not a slave reacting to your environment . Be active not re-active! You are bigger and better than that....CHOOSE LOVE!!! But if all else fails and you need something more physical..my husband and I, after some bad situation, would hold hands and jump up & down, screaming at the top of our lungs...ya know like little kids having a tantrum..the screaming would instantly relieve the pent up emotions and we would laugh..Remember changing an emotion will difuse it..Good luck!

You apper to be answering your own question although I am at a loss to see how prayer relieves stress. Prayer is usually about asking God for favours or to fix things and he never ever replies so how does that stop you being stressed?

Best way is get yourself a big silly dog then you will spend so much time worrying and fussing about him that you wil forget your own concerns.

Every time you feel the need to 'snap' go to another room on your own, question your self what made you anger, and why you wanted to react in this way, after this you should feel a little better and then go to the situation again, and solve it by chatting. (do this in the meantime) while waiting to see some one about anger issues, they will discover WHY you are becoming so anger and what has made you become like this, it takes quite a while after being on the list to get a person to chat to. about 6 months or shorter depending how bad you need it i think ... Good luck anyway! (=

The best way for me is to be secluded so you can relax and meditate .yoga , exercise or do something you enjoy doing.Lay off the caffeine eat a healthy diet . But what helps me the most is ask yourself a simple question. Is there anything I can do to change the situation that I am in ? If there is ,change it if not I don't worry about it.

The best thing is not to put yourself in stressful situations but if you can't and find yourself there, STOP thinking your current thoughts and replace them with positive ones. Good luck

Sex is an awesome stress reliever! Lilac or vanilla scent helps, too, along with a nice, hot bubble bath.

Get away from the source of your stress for a few days to recharge your batteries (renew yourself).
