windows xp reformat?

Question

i reformatted windows xp using the gateway disk...

when it asked me if i wanted to back up the existing files i said yes

they are saved as c>my back up.2days date

so when i try to open it it does but when i try to open
C:\My Backup -- 06-10-01 0206PM\Documents and Settings\EM or default user it says--this folder is not accesable acess denied--

every folder works besides this one but this is trhe one i need to get in to how do i get in to it???

if your the adminastrator this shouldnt be a problem unless.....the file is courrupt or is trying to open in the wrong program of course it could be that you can only open these files with this account (EM) and if you tryed the same thing in the windows your useing now the same thing will happen so there you go
