Here is all I want to do. I want to be able to chop parts I dont want out of the video. Then I want to make menus and such so I can make a dvd. Id prefer something cheap, or free, but I have a feeling thats going to be difficult. I have Windows, NOT apple, which is why I am asking.

Believe it or not, I cant use Nero on this computer. For some reason, it corrupts something crashing my computer. I talked to the company and they said my Model and 2 others had this problem and they dont know why.

So, are there any other programs like it?

Adobe Primier is a good video editing software, there are others like Media 100, Goo etc. You may also use Adobe After Effects to get grafics and other effects on your video. After having your videos edited, you can burn those on dvds using Nero Burn and make menus in that. You can use other dvd burning softwares (usually they come free with the dvd writing H/Ws).
