I'm definitely a sniffer (and a lifter to be sure). I can't stand the thought of baby poop under my fingernails! lol!

I'm a mother to one 10 month old baby boy,if I lift its the back of the diaper not the leg area because like the rest here even though I am a mother I do not want baby poop under my nails.I can always tell if he is wet because the front bulges.

I'm both, my kids are grown now, but it used to drive my daughter crazy when I would poke into my granddaughter's diaper and come out with a "surprise". She thought it was the grossest thing ever!!

well, i am not a mom. but i experienced watching alot of infants, mostly my siblings and my uncle's children. and my sister's babies, and other's friends babies. when i baby sit anyways, lol. i know when its time, every 1-2 hours, i hate it when parents let their kids' diapers sag , stink and get rash. makes me soo mad. but when this happens i stick around couple days by sleeping or coming everyday and i treat the rash with zincofax or vasoline -buttcreme-. anyways. i know when it's time and i make sure the kid's butt it always clean and dry. its soggy in front. sometimes if im not sure i poke +o(. if im not sure at the poking, i check check. lol sick i kno.

You know girl u can just change the diaper and not do all that sniffing and poking thing. But I'm shore babe will let u know if it needs changing.

I could usually tell when my son started to crawl or walk funny that his diaper needed changing. He would let out a stink bomb that let me know as well. With my daughter, I just changed her every 4 hours. Usually she needed it.

a quick sniff and then a peek into the diaper just to be sure... i don't baby poop under my nails.. even as a mom, it's still gross

Well, I work at a day care and just look at the front to see if they are wet or pull out the top of the back to see if they are dirty.

I can't bring myself to put my finger in my kids diapers yuck!!! With my son you rarely not tell when he takes a pop... I'm still preggo with # 2 so I don't know how her pop is going to smell.
