We went together the summer of 2001, but since we didn't see each other much, we decided to break up. Now I want her back. I want to be with her because I love her and I want to start a family with her. I am a shy person which makes it pretty hard for me to talk to her. I've only told my favorite two cousins and another friend. I told her how I felt over the internet, but I thought that was rude and after that she hasn't responded to any of my messages. How can I tell her in person without driving myself mentally crazy?

Just tell her your true feelings and give her some time to decide what she wants. Don't pressure her or it wont go well.

Ask to meet with her over coffee at some reasonably quiet place and tell her your feelings. It sounds as if you've grown emotionally since 2001 and you need to tell her of your new found maturity and the values you have. It's not clear why she stopped communicating with you after you told her how you feel via e-mail. The fact that she hasn't responded to any of your messages means that something you said upset her. Call her ASAP and clear the air...

It sounds to me like she is not interested. If she were, she would have responded to what you said over the Internet. In life there are certain things over which cannot afford to be shy. One of them is communicating romantic intentions to another. Besides, you said that you already went together before. I would try to talk to her. If she begins to avoid you, then, you can take that as your answer.
It also seems to me that you are quite young and uneducated. If you are not at least 26 and do not have a college degree with the accompanying income, then, you have no business even considering any serious relationship with anyone.

Sometimes we think that yeah that s the person i wanna spend my life with but after spendin few days with them you discover that "no i was wrong"... well im not ryin to say that you r wrong... but just try to think about it a lil bit more..before making a final decision..and also you said that when you told her she didn respond to any of ur mess...u know what... if a girl likes a guy she would always let him know that....

well its all up to you... but in my opinion... try to start a new life... and if you both really meant to be together then you will be...

If it would help you to tell her how you feel in person then try to. Try calling or try leaving her a message telling her that there are some things that you would like to tell her. If she doesn't respond then its time to move on.

to be honest.. you sound way to young.. but w/e.. i'll help you.. are you sure you want to start a family?.. anyways...
the easiest way to talk to her.. is to let her know that you want to talk to her.. you can let her know either by e-mail.. or letter.. either works fine.. then just arrange a place and time where you two will meet and just tell her how you feel... but tell her everything.. and I mean EVERYTHING.. don't leave anything out.... that's how to go at it man...
