I'm afraid most of us wake up with bad breath.

Clean your teeth before you go to sleep (and your tongue) and perhaps use a mouthwash.

Keep a glass of water by your bed and sip it if you wake up in the night. The bacteria that breed in your mouth to cause bad breath become most active when you get a dry mouth during the night.

The key here is to brush and floss rinse with Breath RX (you can get this at most Walgreen's, cvs, etc) BUT if this doesn't help then you need to see a Dentist you may have gum DISEASE

make sure u brush and floss ure teeth, if u dont floss u leave loads of food inbetween ure teeth, and that smells.. if u dont believe me try flossing and smell it YUK, generally nobody has fresh breath in the morning.. brushing the tongue helps if u have a layer on it, thicker than normal, but it also brushes away the good bacteria, which we need for the first stages of digestion... if in doubt see ure dentist...

Tradition has it that eating an apple as your last snack before brushing your teeth at night helps with "morning breath."

isn't that a bad idea because you could choke on whatever you put in your mouth since you're lying down?
