Staying fit and healthy is very important to me. I go to the YMCA everyday after work. It is very well worth it. It will make you look and feel good. After you get into a regular regiment it becomes routine and you don't have to drag yourself there to get into it. If you can do it for at least three days a week for three months, it will become automatic. I'm 43 and I'm in better shape than most people twenty years younger than me. There's a wide variety of machines at the Y to choose from to suit your specific goals.I would recommend it. Paying for it is good incentive to use it.

In my opinion, not for everyone. Personally, I like to jog and do aeorbics right here at home. I use the saved money to buy new clothes with when I drop weight--this (and diet) has been working for me since February 2006 and I have lost 45 pounds. Another suggestion is to buy a treadmeal or some kind of home equipment (even used is okay), that would save a lot money too.!

For me, yes. When I'm home I don't have the space or the motivation to do anything. Home is relaxing, for sleeping, eating and hanging out with friends and family. I mentally prepare myself for exercise by the act of getting there. I get bored easily when working out, so I like a variety of exercise options. I might spend a 40 minute workout doing 10min on a diff rent machine. Pulse, the hot tub, sauna, and steam room motivate me for the work out.
I also like to people watch and the diff rent magazines

Only if you think will use it regularly. Many fitness clubs want you to sign a long-term contract.

If you have trouble being self motivated then it would help. It's also a good place to meet others who are like minded for support and to help in your everyday life if you become friends.
