Yes, it's called Hoodia. It's a cactus that suppresses appetite and is also supposed to help obesity. Hoodia has been in the news recently. Due to the publicity generated, there are a lot of scammers selling fake Hoodia on the Internet. Beware! You can get it in stores.

I've heard that grapefruit helps to suppress appetite. As for craving sweets, the best thing to do is stay away from them completely and after a while the cravings honestly do go away.

My doctor just told me about a supplement that is given to diabetics or pre diabetics. It is called CHROMIUM. I take 100 mg a day and it can be found at wal mart or vitamen stores. You might want to get your blood sugar first though to see if it slightly high because mine was. The supplement has been helping me with craving sweets though.
