because they are trying to get the young people to accept a new way of thinking which will cost them some personal freedom in the long run. B. Franklin said, " those who are willing to give up a little freedom for safety deserve neither freedom nor safety. "

They haven't even started yet.
The microchip will be your personal passport. It is already being used by some employers to track employees.
It will be advertised to,
Do your banking,
Track your work record
Purchasing
Credit
Exit and entry to buildings and cars, etc.
It will be advertised as easier, instead of carrying many cards, id and keys, you will not need anything.
The ultimate will be no identity theft.
Drawback is you can be tracked every minute of the day.
Not being fictitious or scary, the technology is here.
I have been working on similar items.

Well, they started "conditioning" people years ago when they started implanting pets with those chips. You know so they could be found easily if they ever got lost. That was step 1. Now, it has moved on to people and they will accept it. After all it's for our own "convenience." IMO every piece of info about you will be on that chip. All banking info, medical, you name it. We won't be able to buy or sell without one. Just scan your hand and go, quick and simple. Don't get the implant. It is bad news.

They are? I haven't heard anything promoting it in the media, unless you mean microchipping pets is going to cause a new trend...just as some teens wear dog collars.

Yeah....all the commercials advertising this as well as placement in various movies, TV and in print is getting old.
Get real dimwit, the "media" is doing nothing of the kind. You'd be hard pressed to find a single teen who knows about these chips and the various applications they are used for (hint.....they are very useful and not at all sinister).
