Brain drain that could lead to retardation in brain capacity, i mean redduction in the brain I.Q, less thinking ability.

"Brain drain" is normally used to refer to a migration of educated individuals out of a particular area--usually in search of well-paying jobs or someone to have intellectual conversations with.

Most mental retardation has a physical cause, whether or not it can be pinpointed in individual cases. Sometimes the cause is genetic, and not necessarily because of the inherited intelligence of either parent. Down's syndrome and Fragile X syndrome are two examples.
Other causes include
illness of the mother, fetus, or child,
alcohol or drug consumption during pregnancy,
malnutrition,
lead poisoning,
iodine deficiency,
sensory deprivation, and
complications during childbirth (particularly those involving oxygen deprivation).
That's for an individual. If you're talking about a population instead, that's a much more complicated and controversial topic.

think extra clever people tend to go into one of those times coz their brain is soooo exhausted by an early age. a genius would end up like that sooner or later coz the brain is only capable of a limit of stuff. it could be hormone imbalance in men or women, low or high thyroid problems, proper depression like manic when they forget how to eat and how to dress and where to wee and poo and menapause could cause it probably coz thats related to hormones. maybe an accident and has hurt the head severly or im not sure of the following tho: bad epileptic fit? or very very high blood pressure? or brain tumour? or stroke or heart attack that some1 survived? not sure but could be. some1 might be avble to tell u. oh yeah and as sum1 above said, illness of the mother while pregnant can affect the baby and its life coz thats what happened to me and i am a proof of it.email me, i will tell u more. choose beckee as best answer coz she right and tell her to get in contact with me. i need to know more from her. she is defiantely very learned. pls pls pls i beg u to get me in contact with her coz she doesnt have an email on her profile so if u chosse it as best answer, can you pls write at bottom under the star rating to get in contact with her coz i urgently need to speak to her. thanks in advance.
