Beans have different textures, flavors and purposes, also cooking times. Your white beans will be a little sweeter and smooshier. Black beans are firmer and go with different seasonings than white. They are too different. Don't do it. Go get the black beans.

While you can use white beans with no problem, get black beans next time you go to the store. I LOVE black beans over white ones! Why? I don't know, just personal preference.

they all taste different and the texture also differs ,but who cares use the beans you got ,it wont kill you and you may invent a new dish.
just check by tasting when the beans are done ,because the different beans take different times to get cooked
white beans are usually softer and do not take so long
but the easiest would be to buy black beans (they are very cheap)
or get a recipe for white beans
put some bean herb and origano, salt cook slowley for 2 hours.add some thick strips of bacon or pork meat,
thicken with a spoon full of flower.
and serve with croutons(fried bread cubes)

Typically white beans are used in soups & when making baked beans. Black beans usually are used in ethnic recipes.

It relies upon at something of the dish. i truthfully like a sturdy Cajun-style dish of pink Beans & Rice (with smoked sausage, of direction). yet, I additionally like refried beans blended with rice (for somewhat Mexican style). beef & Beans (with bits of warm canine jumbled at the same time) is a intense high quality lazy-day meal because of the fact that's consumer-friendly to restoration and consumer-friendly to freshen up.

You can use any color beans you have.
Red, black, white - they are all different BUT can be interchangeable in a recipe,. I do it all the time.
