What the heck is pykrete?
I'd mix the sawdust with water and then freeze it. The wood has a low coefficient of thermal conductivity and would slow the melting process.

Use the wood pulp to cover the ice boat so that it doesn't melt.

to this question theres 2 parts one its in the middle of the dessert u dont even have enough water 2 drink y would there be a lake?!?!?!?!?!?!?
2)u cant make ice boats unless u carve it!!!!but then its to cold to sit on!!!

make it really small and keep it inside the refridgeration unit.... then put that on a proper boat and sail across..........
