i had a very bad cutting problem, my girlfriend would beg me to stop, but i was so addicted that i couldn't. Then one day she came to school and i noticed three marks on her arm, when i asked her about it she told me how much it hurts her to see cuts on my body and that if i didn't stop then she'll start. That was over a year ago, and i haven't cut since. ...see, many cutters get off on seeing their own blood and cuts, but when they see it on someone else that they love, they take it into a whole new perspective and try to quit. I'm not saying you should take a huge butcher knife and slice off half your wrist, but just talk to her. Tell her you love her and you hate to see her sad. DO NOT tell her that she needs to see a doctor and get professional help. that will make her feel like a freak and the cutting will get worse. Tell her you want to help her get better. Earn her trust and then slowly take away any sharp objects in her room so she cant cut. if you need anymore help or have any questions, please let me know. good luck.

You might want to watch MTV and see for one of those commercials for people who need help. Call it and tell them that your friend needs help.
A faster way to get help for your friend is to tell the school counselour or look for one in the phone-book and call it. They are always useful and always have a brilliant sollution!

Try to get to her mentaly and talk to her try to get her to listen to you. Help her with solving her worries or bad thoughts. Also if that doesn't help therapy always works. I had to do it when i was younger when my parents broke up.
