Good question. My take on it is that we in the UK; being incredibly multicultural and with many different denominational faiths (of which by and large we are very tolerant of - despite the few bigots) don't think we have to alter ourselves abroad. It's something we should be proud of.

The latest Tom Clancy says it all for me. The guys portrayed to be the Muslims partake of the Western way of life whilst despising everything it stands for. They admit they take advantage because it is handed to them on a plate, because the West is too scared of offending other religions, cultures to take a firm hand. It is all too simple for us to be taken for a ride and we are every single day and because of political correctness there is nothing we can do. What a shame that someone, anyone does not point out this single defining fact and maybe we can get back on an even keel. We are all human and ALL have rights, but those rights should be the same for everyone, not just the chosen few, those that have chosen themselves!!!

That's fundamental part of the foundation of the USA -- freedom of religion. It is one of this country's best qualities and the reason why so many came here. Read some history and increase your appreciation for maintaining separation of church and state. Maybe even express that preference by voting.

Btw, the entire world is not intolerant of other religions. I've never run into a problem, but then again, I make an effort to respect all religions.

This phenomenon is known as "white man's guilt", and you will find that this is the one thing we British still lead the world in. Those who suffer from the condition have invariably been infected by close proximity to PC liberals, and experience an increasing loss of ego resulting in deluded beliefs such as "everybody's culture is right, except mine" and "anybody who is in some kind of minority is a victim". A sad state of affairs indeed. However, the prognosis is not all doom and gloom for sufferers; because of their unwillingness to offend anybody under any circumstances, they tend to rise to the top in certain social and professional circles. For example, many of them are "community spokespersons", "community leaders", teachers, and increasingly, politicians and senior police officers. Just think, one of them could be teaching your child all week (or is that all weak?). Infection is most likely in places where PC liberals gather, or there are high numbers of young people, so colleges, universities and town halls are natural breeding grounds for the phenomenon. Fortunately, help is at hand, and many youngsters are cured by a daily dose of reality, experienced on leaving these places. Those who are not cured simply carry on to achieve the high-flying posts mentioned above, quite often working as a pack, although their natural propensity to try to "out-PC" each other can lead to conflict. Usually, this results in triumph for the blandest and most "wishy-washy" member of the group.

Thats because when Prince Charles was given the Title Prince of Wales part of his Investiture speech was that he would keep and defend THE FAITH'S not the Faith, which in the U K is Christian. Surely this must have given non christians the opertunity to disreguard the thaughts feelings and belefes of the people he is suposed to protect first.

It is because they show us respect in our own country and when we go over to their country, we have to respect their customs and belief systems in order to be better friends and neighbors to them anyway. As it says in the Holy Bible, we have to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

land of the free!!! it is time America accepted that they created this situation themselves. read what your fore fathers instituted and wanted for America and that is why you have to respect them,America opened their doors with kindness and acceptance. keep it that way. just don't go to another country if you don't like how they do things.

I feel if people want to live in our contry they should live by our rules and if I was going to move to another contry i'd live by the rules of there land. Its the way it should be. Or even better without being racists people should stay where they came from if they cant follow the rules.
