Does a person who needs a 'little breathing room' in a relationship necessarily mean that they want to end that relationship when something doesn't agree with them?

Lemme pause and rethink where this relationship is heading towards. Do I really like you, love you and do I want to marry you eventually?

It DOESN'T signal the end is near. It's just that it happens so often that people automatically thinks that way.

They may need time to think things over so ask them to clairfy that statement to you that way you know exactly what they are telling you
