It's Aramaic/Syriac and means "Come, Lord!" or simply "The Lord is come" (no, I did not know that b4 I read your question)
Look it up on Wikipedia - it has lotsa info there abt it

Well, you are not probably talking about a novel, are you? If you search for it, there could be a lot, there is a Maranatha High School, Maranatha Music, Maranatha Chapel,
Maranatha Baptist Church, Maranatha singers, Camp Maranatha or Maranatha College. So you have to give as much details as possible to what you really want and need. Goodluck!

Either an affirmation that the Lord is Coming
or a prayer that the Lord come.

Look it up in your New Testament and see how it is translated in different versions.
