It is possible to not have a navel. It is effectively a scar from when the umbilical cord is cut away and if it is cut close to body and if the umbilical cord is not wide it can actually heal over but it is very rare for this happening as there are a number of factors involved and all have to be "right"
I cant think who doesnt have a belly button though although it was mentioned on TV the other night

Any individual who was born from a mother has a navel. Why? Umbilical cord. There's no avoiding it. Theoretically, a test tube baby wouldn't have one. That's the only way to avoid it. I'm sure there is some way to have it removed, but I've never heard of it.

If you have stomach surgery you may lose the navel. I remember asking a teacher why we have navels when i was about 5. she said it is where God touches you to say you are his..until i was older i thought only christians had them!! so don't believe everything you are told

You cannot be born without a navel. It is the place that the umbilical cord attaches while the baby is in the womb.

Without a belly button you would not be alive because it was once an umbilical cord which is needed t survive in utero.

yes it is very possible to have no bellybutton. My nephew was born with a rare genetic disorder where his intestines and organs were outside his body, like his stomach had not fully developed. So they did surgery to fix everything but because of that he had no bellybutton. You can get plastic surgery to have one made on ur stomache

Only if you were hatched. The naval is the feeding tube for the fetus.
